Could You Rock It With Red Hair?

One of the most popular hair colours of the moment is red, with stars and celebrities such as Christina Hendricks and Scarlett Johansson popularising it. There can be many different shades of red which you could choose from, from copper to auburn to crimson. While all of these colours may look amazing, they may not suit every skin tone. This is because the deep tones in red hair can sometimes clash against those found in skin tone, which can cause this kind of hair to look particularly bad on certain people.

In order to get the right kind of red hair and to find out whether it would suit you, you should follow these steps:

  1. Visit your Local Salon

Your hairdresser will be the best person to speak to concerning your hair colour, as they will be able to tell you whether it would suit you. If they have been your hairdresser for some time they will be able to let you know in all honesty whether red hair would suit you. They can then dye your hair for you, and you can trust a hair stylist to get the job done correctly. You will also be able to have a say in the type of colouring you get, so you can work together to get the ideal colour.

  1. Understand Your Complexion

Your complexion will really be what decides you on whether or not you should dye your hair red. Red hair can usually look good on both pale and olive skin tones, although those with darker skin may find that certain reds don’t look that good. You should get yourself a colour chart for the many different shades of red which you could select. This will help you to find out what would suit you.

  1. Build Up Slowly

If you have particularly dark hair, you may find that you need to build up your hair colour rather than attempting to obtain deep red hair in one go. This is because the hair colour will need to build up in order to give you the shade you desire, and attempting to reach it in one setting could end up damaging your hair. You hair stylist will be able to advise you of the best course of action, so you can get started on changing your hair colour as soon as possible.

If you would like to change your hair colour, you should visit your hairdresser right away to talk about the options that you have available. Do you think that you would suit red hair and if so, what shade of red would you like to go for?
